What is weird about all of this that the tools to set it right are here. The fallacies of thought and how to manipulate via rhetoric have been known since the ancient Greeks. George Boole, Ada Byron, Bertrand Russel, Kurt Gödel, Alan Turing et al have made logic into an everyday tool used widely in computers. In the field of emotions we do not have personages who have made a similar impact for ordinary folks. Geezer feels this is the result of an ethical lack. In the arena of sales, politics, and propaganda skillful means are used to subvert the interests of most folks. They do this well enough that folks believe that they are acting in their own best interests. Good people need to speak up and stress ethical and healthy ways of living and behaving. There are good folks like Eric Fromm, a bio and a link, and Abraham Maslow who were able to point the way for people to live successfully. They both transcended the theoretical basis of their earlier viewpoints. Eric has some cool quotes as follows.

"Creativity requires the courage to let go of certainties."

"A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices."

"Modern man thinks he loses something - time - when he does not do things quickly; yet he does not know what to do with the time he gains - except kill it."

"Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existance"
